Corythosaurus casuarius

1/72 scale

painted by Steve Riojas

There is plenty of good evidence to suggest that Corythosaurus, like most Hadrosaurs, lived in large herds. They may also have migrated with the season, much like many herd animals alive today. The crest on top of Corythosaurus' head could have served several purposes at once. It may have aided in sound production, been brightly colored to attract mates or distinguish itself from others, or have increased its sense of smell. An average sized Corythosaurus was about 30 feet long.
