Einiosaurus procurvicornis
"Buffalo Bull"
Einiosaurus means "Buffalo Lizard" in Sioux. A full grown adult would have reached a length of 25 feet. Its habitat was the Two Medicine Formation of Late Cretaceous Montana, where bonebeds of many Einiosaurus have been found. Such a trove is a great chance for paleontologists to study individual variation and growth patterns of one specific group of dinosaurs. In this animal's case, its nasal horn was erect in youth, yet as it matured it began to noticeably droop forward . The oldest members had distinctive "can-opener" nasal horns and sunken pits of bone above their eyes.
