Gorgosaurus juveniles
"Judith's Juveniles"
A large family group of Gorgosaurus were recently rediscovered by Phil Currie. The which contained the fossilized bones was lost for nearly a century. It has been proposed that perhaps even youngsters took part in hunting prey. Young gorgosaurs had unusually large teeth for their size, and their longer legs may have made them speedy little predators. The social structure of dinosaurs is always controversial, and all too often we base our ideas on what we know about animals today. But that is what makes these animals so intriguing; they are half science, half imagination.
This piece illustrates two juveniles chasing a young pterosaur (nyctosaurus). Little brother is intent on catching it, while older brother tries to ruin his chances by yelling loudly.
The solid resin kit comes in ten pieces. Each dinosaur is roughly 6" long which is roughly 1/18th or 1/20th scale. The model fits snugly on to the base of my adult Gorgosaurus model or they can be displayed without the supervision of their mother.
The kit sells for $75.00 plus $5.00 for s/h.
Solid Bronze editions are $1700.00
